Baby Surprise Jacket

This seems to be a popular pattern on the site recently! I just finished my first BSJ - came out a little smaller than I was planning, which is fine. Think I'll save it for a future gift. I didn't really believe EZ's comments in the original pattern about how odd it was going to look, but it did. Lots of fun - quick and easy to knit up as a gift, or to keep. I used Phildar's Auteuil (acrylic/wool blend).

  • It's in the book Knitting Workshop and also available from Schoolhouse Press here:

(BSJ is second on the list--1B, I think.)

  • I am new, stumbled on this site while looking for information on the Baby Surprise Jacket. I have just received my first EX book (knitting workshop) and ordered an instructional tape on the BSJ. My ultimate goal is to make an ADULT Surprise Jacket, but that may be down the road a piece!

    Your's is lovely.
