BSJ Sizing
I'm thinking of making my first BSJ for my 2 YO son. He wears 3T clothes right now (monkey arms). Has anyone else made the BSJ around this size? I'm thinking of using a worsted weight yarn, but I'm not sure what gauge I should be aiming for.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I think worsted yarn will yield at most a size 2T BSJ, if that is any help. No matter what yarn you use, you will have to pick up stitches at the sleeve edges and add a few inches worth or the sleeves will barely reach his elbows.

I bought some worsted yarn for a BSJ for my baby with the idea that she will be able to wear it this fall as a 9-month-old with the sleeves rolled up. I hope it will fit her for at least a year. I think using the yarn suggested on the Schoolhouse website (I think it's Jamieson & Smith jumperweight which seems to be a DK weight) makes a jacket for a small infant.
