I'm determined to work my way through the Knitting Workshop DVD/book to improve my basic skills. Here's the first project--details are on my blog.

That hat was my first color work ever. You did a fine job!

Ditto on what Liz said. I was my first EZ anything! I loved it! Mine was small enough for a baby!
The hat looks great!

Great colours and a very good idea too. I have joined a knitalong on Ravelry, where we're working our way through EZ's Knitter's Almanac. I'm knitting February's Baby Sweater (again...) first and the January project second, but other than that, I'm doing it. :)
I'm sure I'll learn so much from this project and have already planned two arans for myself!

Great idea. I like the Ravelry kal idea, too, and as I just finished the February baby sweater by chance, perhaps I should follow in tina's footsteps. Or I could just admire you both from afar!

Beginner's question: when you get to k7 k2t at the top, do you do a row of knit before starting the decrease every row? Hope that's clear.
