Zimmermania

I need a little pattern help....

I am wanting to knit the zig zag pattern but do it on circular needles instead of knitting it flat. The pattern calls for a purl row every other round on the wrong side. So, in knitting around then do I skip those rows, or knit them? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • In circular knitting, you knit the round, which would be purled, in flat knitting.

  • I think what you're asking, how to get garter stitch in the round -- you get all purl on the 'wrong' side -- but you could get it on both sides if you either purled on alternating rounds or if you knit back backwards every other round. Hope that isn't too confusing...

  • Just knit them... as it say purling on the wrong side... this translates into knit when knitting in the round.
If you would knit one row, purl one row when knitting in the round you'd get garter and that is not what you want.
