February Sweater in Cotton
I was wondering if anyone has ever done the February sweater in cotton. If it has been done, what yarn did you use.
I live in deep south Alabama, wool sweaters don't make much sense, even for 'winter' babies. We get maybe a good month of cold enough weather for wool, and that is not consecutive days. So I was thinking cotton would be a much better alternative.

I just finished one in Nova Yarns Real Jeans (100% cotton, DK weight), and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. You can see pictures on Ravelry (username toknitisdivine). I hope to get pictures on my blog (and here) soon.

I used some Knit Picks Shine Sport for one and I loved it. I did notice weaving in the ends was a little more difficult, but that's to be expected with cotton.

I used Cotton Fleece, which has 20% wool content, and it's a great three-season sweater for North Carolina!

I used about a skein and a half of Cotton Fleece -- it turned out really well.

I don't know readily available it is, but I just did one with Dale of Norway Tukan(sp?) - 90/10 cotton/alpaca - turned out really nice.

I made one in variegated blues/greens in Tahki Cotton Classic, 5 sts to the inch, & it turned out beautifully.

I've done a couple, in Knit Picks Shine sport and worsted. Both were very nice, but I liked how the sport version turned out a little better.

Last year I made one using Rowan Demin. It turned out great. It was perfect for a four month old and is a cute lace demin cardigan.
