I am totally confused as to how to sew the Ribwarmer together. Here are the directions again:

It's that weird neck tab thing. I've sewn the shoulders, and the center back. Now what? Is it doubled at the back of the neck? Did I miss something? I'm almost to the point of ripping back those 10 rows and just having a scoop neck, with attached I-Cord edging.

Please help!

  • It says to sew the beginning tab to the neck-back. From the pictures, it looks like the cast-on 10 sts are the center back, and the 10 ridges get sewn down to the cast-off 10 sts. The tab winds up sideways, if that makes sense.

  • Yep, that's what you do. This gives you a "collar" at the back neck with the 2 co/bo edges sewn together and the ridges to the body back....

  • Exactly! In other words, the side of the collar tab opposite the buttonhole side attaches to the body and the top of the tab meets its sister in the center back and is sewn together. The collar fits very nicely.
