Olive's Bog Jacket

Here's Miss Olive in her new Bog Jacket, with just a few modifications. The yarn is Noro silk Garden, with bits of Lorna's Laces. I made invisible buttonholes,

and cast on and off stitches at the sleeves and collar to avoid the dreaded weaving.

Lots of ruffles...

I'm sad it's over!

More pics and explanation on my blog:

  • Gorgeous! I just finished my first bog jacket, and although I'm amazed at how talented EZ was and I had a lot of fun adding the phony seams, collar and shaped shoulders to make it more interesting, I was wondering how to make it look less tailored for my 9 year old niece. I never thought about ruffles! You did a wonderful job!

  • What a gorgeous wee jacket. I haven't tried this pattern yet, but it looks like one I'd like to give a go. I have a couple of wee nieces in my life, who would love it!

  • How wonderful! Lucky Miss Olive! That little jacket is a keeper for sure. It inspires me to continue to try to learn how to knot. I am a master at crochet but find knitting just very challanging.
