BSJ convert

* Buttons still to be added

I was so dubious as I knitted this. How could a slab of warped garter stitch become a balanced symmetrical cute jacket???

I've really enjoyed this from a knitting perspective - it's a fun project - but I think I'll enjoy the next one more now I understand how things work.

What I would do differently next time.
1/ Use a finer yarn (10-ply/worsted weight is way too heavy for a baby)
2/ As described in the excellent KnitWiki, change the pattern to avoid picking up stitches on the wrong side.

  • Thank you for sharing what you've learned and for the helpful links. I'm hoping to make one of these soon.
