Starting today!

I picked out my yarn and I am on my way to my first SBJ. What I want to ask is... if I want to make it with stripes... can I put them anywhere??

Absolutely! That's one of the joys of the pattern. All the stripes magically match with no effort on your part.

Stripe away. You can have endless fun with stripes in this pattern. Having knitted it a couple of times you learn what the consequence of your striping will be and start being able to "place" the stripes. Do have fun - and post pictures!

If you want to be more specific about where to put your stripes, check out this link:

(You will probably have to copy and paste that address.) It has a section called "placing your stripes." Adrian of the recent gorgeous handspun BSJ posted about this site. It's a great resource for the BSJ.
