Tomten with jacquard

Belatedly posting this here -- you've probably already seen it on Ravelry or on my blog, but I think this page needed a fresh post for the new year! This is a Tomten sized for a 3- or 4-year-old, a Christmas present for my nephew. I took my lead from Franklin Habit and added some jacquard patterning to the shoulders.

All the details are on my blog! Oh, and Happy 2011 to all the Zimmermaniacs!

The most charming Tomten I have ever seen.

  2. You wouldn't believe how pleased I was once I learned how to knit backwards! It makes short rows so easy, not having to turn back and forth! Give it a go next time you have a project like that. I've heard that some people who don't like purling do it all the time!
