I am so happy to be a part of Zimmermania! I have had the pattern (BSJ) for a year, but felt I was too raw and new to attempt it. Just last week, I received the DVD and have viewed it twice. I am not sure if it helped or hurt, but I'm going to dive in with this sweater as soon as I finish crocheting a hat and bag, this week, for my sister for her birthday. Thanks to Sarah for inviting me to be a part of this awesome blog!
It's a fascinating pattern! I knit three BSJ's before I ordered the video, just to get ideas on seaming it correctly. It's a fun knit! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou'll love it! Just follow instructions -- "blindly" -- and don't worry about what's happening. I've knit at least half a dozen, and I'm still confused.
ReplyDeleteBe careful about the line of decrease-and-increase. I find it helps to keep the vital stitch in st st (purling it on alternate rows).
As Jean said.... just follow the instructions--- blindly! It will turn out marvelous!
ReplyDeleteI watched the dvd, then watched it again while knitting. I just paused it until I got to that part in my knitting. After I successfully knit the first BSJ, I could just follow the instructions, but I have had friends who came by to watch the dvd many times.,

ReplyDeleteJust do what it says. The sweater turns out wonderfully. I've had the adult pattern for a year or two and I'm afraid to try it. We need to just dive in and enjoy.
