I'm in a year long Zimmermania class and this was our second project. Since I finally finished it I figured I would share it with you all! I was hoping the colors would knit up in a way that made the coat something a boy or girl could wear (since it wasn't really for anyone in particular), but the purple in the center made it a little iffy and then when I bought the heart buttons my husband informed me it was not a boy friendly sweater. Oh well - I tried! I'll just have to find a little girl to give it to! I used Noro Kureyon Sock Yarn.
I think it would look great on a boy.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Makes me want to make another baby surprise jacket myself....maybe later in the summer. Great work!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on my first one - I think I have tinked half of what I have knit so far - ALL of what I did today - I tried to give myself a concussion today on the freezer door -- and somehow after that I was off on my increase spot in one place and didn't realize it for about 8 rows - ugh -- taking a break now and will start again later (after taking out all I did)
ReplyDeleteBTW yours is spectacular
What a great yarn choice--never would have thought of that! Beautiful job (and I think you could get away with it on a boy while he's that little)...
ReplyDeleteLove the colors....as purple is my favorite color. Need to go buy some purple yarn.
ReplyDeleteOh heck, it will be fine on a boy that young. It's too sophisticated to be girly - even with heart buttons.
ReplyDeleteon of the great things about kids is they don't care about clothes and they look great in everything. Nice job on the sweater. I have the pattern and some great yarn but heard the pattern needs a little tweaking. I'll see...
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous creations!!! You have an incredible gift!
ReplyDeleteWas that all one ball of yarn that made all those beautiful stripes!? I love it!
ReplyDeleteI have 3 little girls *wink, wink, wink*
ReplyDeleteBut for real, that is a lovely BSJ!
beautiful.
