Woodsman's Socks
Here's Barry modelling the Woodsman's Socks from 'The Opinionated Knitter' by EZ. I think he likes these more than the other ones I made him. The yarn I used is Rowan, Cashsoft Aran, nothing but the best for my man. Actually, I got it half price from a wool shop that was closing down in Devon but that is beside the point. I thought these might have been a bit on the tight side bacause EZ tells you to start the toe shaping when there is 2.5 inches to go in the foot length and then the end bit is only about 1.5 inches long so when Barry first put them on they were very snug. I guess EZ knows her stuff because the snug socks soon relaxed to fit in the most comfy way, which is probably why I can't get them off Barry's feet! I must make him some more even though his feet are never pongy I still think they may need a wash from time to time...
Lovely socks!! What is it about our men that makes them love our labors so much??! ;oD I also need to make more socks for my men (husband and sons).
